A true hero

Man its sad to hear about someone passing away because of selfless people shootin. My heart hurts to see this happen to people. I had a brother that took a bullet for me he made it thru it but he is forever a hero to me. And i look at your story the same way you are a hero in my book. LLZ.

May you sincerely look to God for the comfort that only be can daily give.

I remember hearing about the story when it first happened and it just broke my heart, just finished watching the 24 Strong documentary and cried thru out. I was just so truly heart broken for his family especially the mother since I am also a mother who raised 2 sons in the "hood" and just can't imagine the pain of losing one would have been like and how do you endure. Only with your faith and trust in the Lord is how. I admire his mom and brother for continuing to honor him and not letting his memory and spirit be forgotten. I will pray that the Lord continues to watch over this family and that He continues to give them the strength they need to keep keeping on

My heartfelt condolences to each of you on the loss of your dear one. Upon hearing of Zaevion's courageous act of greater love given for these young ladies, truly he exemplified what our Lord said in His Word in John 15:13. Fear not, as our Lord told in Matthew 10:28; They may have killed his body, BUT CANNOT/DID NOT TOUCH HIS SOUL WHICH IS ANCHORED IN GOD THROUGH OUR LORD JESUS CHRIST. Please take comfort in knowing that soooooooooo mannnnnnnnnny people are ALWAYS interceding to our God for each of you. May God continue to give you those who will support, comfort, pray for and with you, encourage you and above all love you as our God in Christ does. Lionell I can't imagine the loss or pain you are experiencing nor can I find any word to heal the pain but know that I am always a friend who is praying for you and will always be your Lil bit. I'm Army retired of 22 years of service. I'm from Knoxville, TN and 2 of my brothers attended and graduated from Fulton High School. What this young man did, defines who he was. People all over the world can say whatever, I will now and forever remember the name of this young man with a simple name "HERO". I just saw the segment on the pregame before the Super Bowl...I have never been moved to the degree I was with this story. The power of this act by your son shall ring soundly thru out eternity. Our time in the physical world is limited and unfortunately Zaevion's was even more limited , but his spirit is eternal.

Zae is an amazing young man he went to elementary school with me and I remember when he was the only person who would talk to me he is a sweet intelligent man who risked his life for 3 other lifes that is amazing and he is my hero and I look up to him and he will be missed!
