love you mommy. My kids and I miss you to no end. Life just isn't the same without you around. I try and live by your morals and values but there was only one you. Your pictures align my hallways, wallet, ledges and my mind. You are remembered every second of every day. We talk about you all the time and thank god for the time and comfort you gave to us all. Forever with love and thanks.

My personal message accompanying grandma on her new journey...
Dear grandma,
You're a beautiful person, no doubt, and any on earth would say with reason...a giver, a lover, never a hater.
I never really knew you or at least don't remember you in your prime, but i heard and still even in your unhealthy stages of life know what a magical woman you were.
Now after being freed from your pain that you had suffered for the past few years, i am positive you will be a beautiful angel in heaven.

I love you grandma *kisses blown*

Dear Bonnie,

I heard today from my parents that your mother passed away; I'm so sorry. I remember your mom as a warm and kind woman....and I know how difficult its been for you as her health began to fail. I hope it helps you to know that your old friend from childhood thinks fondly of the days I played with you on Dufferin Road, under the watchful eye of your mother!. I remember spending time with you and your parents not that long ago (maybe three years??) and introduced you to my twins, Noa and Danny (now six and a half years old). Our youngest, Maya, will be four in September. Your mother was extremely gracious and interested in knowing where life had taken me.

Anyways, my friend, I just wanted you to know that I'm thinking of you at this difficult time.

Mom ...

I love you so, but you must go
To a tranquil place we all know
With a broken heart, I must say good-bye
We'll meet again when I'll be by your side

I was truly blessed to have the best
My mom, my friend, nothing less
The love and devotion you have shown
Made for me a happy home

Your home cooked meals were sheer delight
The delicious baked goods done just right
You were always there for all of us
Through thick and thin, when times were tough

Your giving and unselfish ways
Made for many happier days
Hospital visits and lunches out
You chauffeured friends round about

I cherish the time we had together
I will love you forever
You have left a legacy
We will all remember

- Donna

Zelda was a sweetheart and as I look back over the many years of the relationships that abounded between the Cohen and Mayoff families, I can honestly say that Zelda was like the "Rock of Gibraltar" for everyone. I will miss her, and I know she will be missed by her family and by anyone and everyones life she touched. Maureen Cohen

My deepest sympathy to all of you. I was fortunate enough to have had the opportunity to see Zelda within the last few months. As always I got a huge smile, a kiss and it warmed my heart just as it did while growing up. Doug often referred to my father (the late Dr.Robert H. Cohen) as 'Father's knows best' but guess what; there should have been a show called 'Zelda knows best'. A most elegant, warm and genuine woman with all the social graces one could only admire and try to aspire to. Zelda often told me stories of my late mother while feeding me candy from that famous kitchen cupboard. I agree with Elliott, Zelda was the ideal mother we all needed and wanted. The world needs more Zelda's.
