Anna M. "Ann" Brocht

1927 - 2016

ONSTED - Anna "Ann" M. Brocht, age 89, of Onsted went to heaven to celebrate Christmas with her Savior on Saturday, Dec. 24, 2016, at Lenawee Medical Care Facility.
She was born Aug. 1, 1927, in Marion, Mich., to Fred and Reba (Logan) Fankhauser. She graduated from Marion High School as valedictorian of her class. On Feb. 26, 1949, she married Richard Brocht in Marion, Mich., and he preceded her in death on Jan. 2, 2002. Anna retired from Huntington National Bank, was a past member of Onsted Baptist Church and currently had been attending Union Gospel Church.
She is survived by her children, Karen (Donald) Koch of Adrian, Rick (Billie) Brocht of Adrian and Lynne (Neal) Scholten of Kalamazoo; three grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, five brothers, two sisters and a sister-in-law. In addition to her husband, Richard, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Julie Brocht, in childhood; a grandson, Jason Brocht, in infancy; a brother, Jack Fankhauser; and a sister, Ruth Ann Fankhauser, in infancy.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 30, 2016, at the Anderson Funeral Home, Adrian, with Pastor Philip Jones officiating. Burial will be in Maple Shade Cemetery, Onsted. Visitation will be from 2 until 8 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 29, 2016, at the Anderson Funeral Home, Adrian.
