Douglas Daykin Obituary

BELLEVILLE - Douglas E. Daykin, age 87, of Belleville, formerly of Britton, passed away April 5, 2017.
Douglas was born Aug. 24, 1929, in Britton, Mich., the son of Leonard and Myrtle (Underwood) Daykin.
On April 3, 1954, he married Barbara Hall in Tecumseh. He was a graduate of Britton High School.
Douglas worked for Tecumseh Products and when he relocated to Florida he owned his own lawn service.
He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Tecumseh and the Tecumseh Masonic Lodge.
Douglas is survived by his children, Mark (Lauren) Daykin, Candice Daykin and Christine Daykin; grandchildren, Amy, Terry Jr., Cyndi, Paris and Charlie; and 13 great-grandchildren,
He was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara; son, Terry; and three sisters.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 11, 2017, at J. Gilbert Purse Funeral Home, Tecumseh, with the Rev. Alan Maki officiating. Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. Monday, April 10. 2017, at the funeral home. Burial will be in Brookside Cemetery at a later date.
