Frederick Yoakam Obituary

ADRIAN - Frederick William Yoakam, age 89, went to be with our Lord on Aug. 1, 2018.

He was born March 24, 1929, in Ypsilanti to Ida and Chester Yoakam. On June 14, 1947, he married the girl of his dreams, Louise, his wife of 67 years.

Fred was a jack-of-all-trades, working hard to keep food on the table for his family. His family includes Suzette Louise Prince, Sheryl Linda Harris, Robert William Yoakam, Sandra Lee Loutner, Phyllis Anne Slocum; grandchildren and great-grandchildren too many to name, plus one baby sister he dearly loved, Shirley Hawks. He also leaves behind his favorite companion and friend to the end, a German Shepherd named Harley Girl.

In addition to his wife, Louise, he was preceded in death by his parents and a grandson, Matthew Robert Prince.

Special thanks to ProMedica Hospice for their compassionate care, as well as Great Lakes Hospice.

Fred has donated his body to Michigan State University. There will be no public visitation or services. You may send condolences to the family at www.andersonfuneralservices.com. Memorial contributions may be made to ProMedica Hospice. Arrangements are under the direction of the Anderson-Marry Funeral Home, Adrian.
