Glynn Hazlett Obituary

ADDISON -?Glynn Ray Hazlett, age 74, of Addison passed away on Wednesday, March 30, 2016, at ProMedica Bixby Hospital in Adrian.

She was born on Dec. 31, 1941, in Pensacola, Fla., to Glenn V. and Blanche Ray. She married Edgar I. Hazlett on May 19, 1963, in Marion, Ill., and he preceded her in death on Feb. 10, 1993.

Glynn lived in the Addison area for 23 years and then in California for 15 years. She returned to Addison two years ago. She received her associate's degree in psychology from a California community college. She was also an American Indian rights activist. Glynn and her husband were antique dealers for many years.

Surviving are one daughter, Patricia (Dan) Pepper of Addison; one son, Lance (Stacey) Hazlett of Britton; five grandchildren, four great-grandchildren; one brother, Joe Ray of Madison, Wis.; and one nephew. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Edgar Hazlett; one son, Robert Hazlett; and one daughter, Shawn Hazlett.

Cremation has taken place. A celebration of life gathering will be held at 6 p.m. Friday, April 1, 2016, at the home of Patricia and Dan Pepper in Addison. Arrangements are entrusted to the Brown-Van Hemert Funeral Home in Addison. Send condolences to the family at www.brownvanhemert.com.
