John Mott Obituary
He was born Jan. 10, 1963, in Adrian, the son of Harold R. and Evelyn (Walker) Mott. John was a graduate of Adrian High School. He loved all sports and was actively involved in softball and golf most of his life. John was an avid U of M fan, including ushering games for many years.
John is survived by his wife, Wendy Mott; his daughter, Jill Mott of Adrian; his stepchildren, Lori Haley of Onsted, Marsha Nieto of Manitou Beach, Dereka Walper of Addison and Jason Walper of Brooklyn; 13 grandchildren; two sisters, Alyce Mott of New York, N.Y., and Kay Mott (Rick) Darrow of Brooklyn, Mich.; one brother, Jeffery (Kathy) Mott of Newport News, Va.; two nephews; and two nieces. He was preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Evelyn Mott.
Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m. Monday, Nov. 30, 2015, at J. Gilbert Purse Funeral Home, 2959 N. Adrian Highway, Adrian, with Pastor Tisha Cole officiating. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery. Visitation will also be on Monday, from 11 a.m. until the time of service at J. Gilbert Purse Funeral Home, Adrian.
John's family is requesting casual attire in U of M colors. Memorial contributions may be made to John's family. www.PurseFuneralHome.com.
