Thomas Valencich Obituary
Tom was born May 25, 1948, in Ann Arbor, Mich., the son of Joseph and Naomi (Gidley) Valencich. On Sept. 29, 1973, he married Carol Jordan and she survives. He was a graduate of Chelsea High School and worked for Ford Motor Company in Saline for 32 years. He was a sprint car racing enthusiast.
In addition to his wife, Carol, Tom is survived by his children, Phillip J. Valencich and Jennifer (Timothy) Valencich-Mannor; grandchildren, Tyler and Tatum Mannor; sisters, Marlene Wisner and Mary Jo Weeks; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Linda and Josephine; and brother, Peter.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 26. 2017, at J. Gilbert Purse Funeral Home, Tecumseh, with the Rev. Earl Brown officiating. Visitation will be from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Aug. 25, 2017, at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Lenawee Hills Memorial Gardens, Tecumseh.
