Gary Irish Obituary

Gary James Irish, 62, was born November 10, 1962, to Glen and Esther Irish at St. Joseph's Hospital in Lewistown, Montana.

Gary was raised on his father's ranch at 101 Irish Road in Fergus, Montana and attended school from grades 1-12 in Roy, Montana. After graduation, Gary traveled the Red Lion Circuit with his brother-in-law Joe Martin and learned the electrician trade. Thus, how he started his career.

He met and married Stephanie Flansburg of Lewistown and they had two children - Michael Irish and Michelle Irish. Gary and Stephanie lived in California for a while before moving to Las Vegas, Nevada in 1992. Gary honed his trade for a couple of years working for an Electrical Company as an electrician before going off on his own and creating his own very successful business in Las Vegas which was called Irish Electric. He wired custom homes for some very prominent people in Vegas and became a very well-known and respected businessman. Gary and Stephanie grew apart and parted ways. Gary continued running his business and staying busy.

Gary's children express how he was an extremely hard worker and problem solver. He was always there for them and anyone that needed a helping hand. His work ethic and the pride he took in his work showed care and purpose and will be hard to match. In everything he did he would stand by our side in support and teaching with encouragement. He was thoughtful, courteous, kind and had a great sense of humor; sometimes silly. He would most likely chuckle recognizing the irony in getting to this point in his life, finding some peace and joy and having it suddenly taken away. But, he continues to comfort and teach us; showing us life is precious, short and unexpected. You can never take too many photos or go on too many trips. That is who dad is.

On June 1, 2013, Gary and Debbie Becker went on their first date and quickly discovered that God had brought them together at a perfect time in their lives. They went on to settle in multiple places: Las Vegas, Lewistown, and eventually Kalispell, Montana.

In 2019 Gary was diagnosed with facial cancer that reoccurred again in 2020. Gary being the tough and courageous man he was endured two rounds of radiation (back to back) and reconstructive sinus surgery. These were very trying years that Gary and Deb worked through while also dealing with Deb's sons murder in Kalispell. Gary and Deb became closer as a couple and also more reliant on their Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. In the spring of 2022, they moved back to their home in Lewistown until the time of Gary's unexpected death, October 1, 2025.

Gary is preceded in death by his parents, Glen and Esther; sister, Dorleen Rae Irish Martin; half-brother, Richard Irish; and stepson, Bradley Becker.

Gary is survived by his life partner/wife, Debbie Rindal Becker; son Michael Irish of Las Vegas, NV; daughter, Michelle Irish of Reno, NV; stepson, Mark (Kendra) Becker of Kalispell, MT; step-granddaughters, Kaylani, Kyana, and Kelsea; step-grandson, Waylon; sister, Christine Irish-Pina (Feliciano) of Las Vegas, NV; brothers, Douglas Irish of Roundup, MT and Robert Irish (fiancé Crystal) of Lewistown, MT; and half-sister, Glenda Irish-Klein (Gordy) of Keizer, OR.

A graveside service will be held Saturday, October 11th, 1:00 p.m. at the Lewistown City Cemetery where Gary will be laid to rest with his parents. A reception will follow at Central Baptist Church.
