George Allen Obituary

George L. ""Leslie"" Allen, 61 of Callaway formerly of Lexington passed away Sunday, January 17, 2021 at the Callaway District Hospital after a courageous four year battle with pancreatic cancer.
A Celebration of his life will be held Saturday, January 23, 2021 at 10:30 a.m. at the Oconto Community Center in Oconto with Pastor Dean Haidle, officiating.
Lesley was born June 21, 1959 in Lexington to George and Joan (Bauer) Allen. He attended school in the Lexington area and graduated from Lexington High School with the class of 1977. After graduation Les helped area farmers, worked for Shotkoski Hay Company and drove truck for Denny Fellers.
Les moved to the Oconto-Callaway area in 2012, where he was a small engine mechanic. On Nov. 23, 2015 he was united in marriage to Angela Spencer.
Les enjoyed working on lawn mowers, and was known for his skill in putting together models of semi tractors that were often gifts from tucking companies to their employees. He also enjoyed gardening but most of all, spending time with friends and family.
Les is survived by his wife; Angela of Callaway, step-son; Jeremiah Cranwell of Callaway, step-daughter; Rheanne Cranwell of Callaway, parents; George and Joan Allen of Lexington, mother and father-in-law; Harry and Connie Spencer of Julesberg, Colo., one brother; Mark and wife Michelle Allen of Lexington and two sisters; Jodie and husband Scott Hultquist of Silverdale, Wash. and Patti and husband Mike Maguire of Lexington.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents.
Memorials are suggested to the family for later designation.
