Paul Streit
Paul Streit, 65, of Lexington, Nebraska passed away on Monday, June 3, 2024 at Meadowlark Pointe in Cozad, Nebraska.
Paul was born on February 19, 1959, in Lexington, Nebraska to Melvin J. and Marilyn (Prasch) Streit. He grew up on the farm north of Lexington and attended school in Lexington. Paul was a 1977 graduate of St. Ann's High School.
The farm was his life. Paul was a quiet and simple man but loved working on the farm.
He enjoyed watching basketball and going with his buddies to the University of Nebraska-Kearney games.
Paul was a faithful member of St. Ann's Catholic Church where he ushered for many years.
Survivors include his brothers, David (Scott Button) Streit of Rehoboth, Delaware, John (James Wilkin) Streit of Longmont, Colorado and Steve (Karallyn) Streit of Ashville, North Carolina; nephews, Cody (Savannah) Streit of Papillion and Levi (Megan) Streit of Kearney; niece, Chelsea Streit of Cairo; as well as extended family and friends.
Paul was preceded in death by his parents.
Mass of Christian Burial will be on Friday, June 7, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Ann's Catholic Church in Lexington with Father Jose Chavez, celebrating.
Visitation will be held on Friday, June 7, 2024 from 10-11 a.m. at St. Ann's Catholic Church in Lexington.
Burial will be in St. Ann's Catholic Cemetery at Lexington.
Memorials are kindly suggested to Meadowlark Pointe in Cozad.
