Wesley E. Wolffrum, 80, of Kearney, Nebraska, formerly of Denver, Colorado passed away on Tuesday, January 3, 2023 at Good Samaritan Society – St. John's in Kearney.
There will be no visitation or services, as the family is honoring Wesley's wish for cremation.
He was born on May 15, 1942 in Blackwell, Oklahoma to Eron and Lenita (Myers) Wolffrum. Wesley received his education from Blackwell Public Schools. Following High School, he enlisted in the United States Army and proudly served his country.
Wesley was united in marriage to Sandra Joppa. They made their home in Denver, Colorado before moving to Kearney, Nebraska in 2019. Wesley was a salesman and thoroughly enjoyed his job selling siding.
Wesley was a faithful member of his Arvada Covenant Church, a member of the Men's group and helping with other activities at his church. He loved traveling with his wife, Sandra. One trip he still loved to talk about was being baptized while visiting Israel. In his younger years, Wesley enjoyed golfing. His family, church and faith were always an important part of his life.
Survivors include his wife, Sandra of Kearney; children, Kurt (Karen) Wolffrum of Aurora, Colo., Kathy (Bob) Torguson of Cheyenne, Wyo., Tammy (Rex) Schnacker of Lexington and Ryan (Chrissy) Joppa of Deermont, Colo.; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; his brothers, Wilber Wolffrum and Walter (Peggy) Wolffrum of Oklahoma.
Besides his parents, Wesley was preceded in death by a grandson, Seth O'Dell.
A memorial has been established in Wesley's honor, and kindly suggested to the family for later designation.
