Nancy Tutone Obituary

It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of Nancy Tutone (nee Nilsen) of East Rockaway, NY
on December 3, 2024 at the age of 91 years.
Nancy was born in 1933 in Brooklyn and schooled in Coney Island, NY. She met and later married Salvatore "Sonny"
Tutone in 1951. Nancy and Sonny relocated to East Rockaway, NY where they raised their three sons; Steven, Louis
and Chris. Nancy was a devoted wife and mother & was always involved with her boys activities. She often
volunteered with the East Rockaway Raiders football team and cheerleading squad. For many years she worked at
the local Foodtown supermarket managing office responsibilities. In later years people may remember her smiling
face at the Minute Man Dry Cleaners in East Rockaway. Nancy had numerous interests including knitting, crocheting,
mystery novels, a good joke, and the Downton Abbey series. She loved dark chocolate, a cozy bathrobe, her teapot
collection, a glass of Riesling wine, and especially her family.
Nancy is survived by her two sons, Steven and Chris, two daughter in-laws, four grandchildren, two great grandsons,
one brother and sister in-law and numerous nieces and nephews.
In keeping with her wishes, private services were held. The family asks that you spend time with your loved ones
and make a toast to enduring relationships in this lifetime and beyond.
