ST. MARYS — Alice L. Suennen, 78, died 7:29 a.m. Friday December 17, 2021 at Vancrest of St. Marys.
She was born January 29, 1943 in Chelsea, MA to Bernard "Fuzzy" J. and Maxine (Johns) Ribley.
Survivors include: daughter Annette (Terry) Goodwin of St. Marys, OH
Son Martin Dean Monroe of Louisa, VA
Son Steve (Amy) Monroe of Charlotte, NC
Son Christopher Monroe of Fredericksburg, VA
6 grandchildren 7 great-grandchildren
Sister Cheryl Briggs of Lima, OH
Preceded in death by: parents Bernard "Fuzzy" and Maxine Ribley; husband Richard Suennen; brother Bernard Joseph Ribley; brother Douglas Ribley
She was a graduate of Lima Central Catholic High School (Class of 1961). During the last four years, she looked forward to a monthly meal with the "Lunch Bunch" with classmates from LCC.
She had worked as a waitress and manager of various restaurants and truck stops. In her later years, she enjoyed working part-time at a convenience store. Never knowing a stranger, she loved meeting new people and making new friends. Her nickname of "Trouble" was appropriate and well-deserved.
She was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church in St. Marys.
Alice was a hard-worker and enjoyed making new acquaintances wherever she went.
Services are scheduled to begin at 3:00 p.m. Thursday December 23, 2021 at the Miller Long & Folk Funeral Home 314 W. High Street in St. Marys. Deacon Martin Brown will officiate the services.
Visitation 1 - 3 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home.
