ELIDA -- Andrea Kay McAdams, 84, passed away at 7:39 a.m. on July 24, 2024, at her home in Elida.
Andrea was born on October 2, 1939, in Lima, Ohio, to Arden L. and Grace (Robinson) Roush. On August 19, 1961, she married the love of her life, Ronald McAdams, who survives in Elida.
Andrea was a graduate of Lima Senior High. Upon obtaining her nursing degree, she worked as a registered nurse for St. Rita's and Lima Memorial Hospitals. She was active as a volunteer at the American Heart Association. She enjoyed traveling, crocheting, knitting, and listening to books on tape. Most of all, she loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Along with her husband, she is survived by her daughter, Leasa (Carl) Horst; son, Brent (Vicki) McAdams; grandchildren: Ryan (Hanna) Horst, Evan Horst, Logan Horst, Alex (Stacy) McAdams, Reggie (Stephanie) McAdams, Torie (Joseph) Gerdeman, and Isaac McAdams; great-grandchildren: Rylan McAdams, Merah McAdams, Baylor McAdams, Greyson McAdams, Paisley Gerdeman, and two more on the way.
She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Bryan McAdams; and sister, Dyann Stevens.
The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, July 30, 2024, at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home, Lima, Ohio. The funeral service will follow at 1:30 p.m. Rev. Paul Scannell will officiate. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery, Lima.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Elida Saint Paul's United Methodist Church or Interim Hospice.

I worked with Andie at the nursing home years ago. She was easy to work with & a very caring person. She was one of the 3 nurses that I really got along with. My prayers for the family.
