VAUGHNSVILLE -- Arthur Gerard Aguirre, 58, of Vaughnsville, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, December 22, 2024, at home. Born in Lima, he was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, Columbus Grove.
He served his country in the US Army during Desert Storm and was a member of VFW Post 9648 and American Legion Post 516. He worked at Hyway Trucking, Findlay. He was also a member of Fraternal Order of Eagles, Columbus Grove and was a fan of OSU Football and the Pittsburgh Steelers. He also enjoyed fishing, and spending quality time with his nephews, nieces, family, and friends.
He is survived by his father, Hipolito Aguirre; siblings, Paul, Raymond (Deb), Daniel (Tari), John David (Ginny), and Charles (Natalie) Aguirre, Senovia (Albert) Morales, Mary Elena Pulford, Evelyn (Jamie) Burgei, and Diana Bame.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Maria (Bejarano) Aguirre; brother, Carlos Aguirre; niece, Reese Burgei; nephew, Adrian Morales; and sisters-in-law, Diana Aguirre and Ramona Aguirre.
Mass of Christian Burial is 11 a.m. Friday, December 27, 2024, at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, 512 W Sycamore St, Columbus Grove with visitation one hour prior at the funeral home. Visitation is also 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., Thursday, December 26, 2024, at Hartman-Rousculp Community Funeral Home, 10879 OH-12, Columbus Grove. Burial in the church cemetery.
Preferred memorials to American Cancer Society or Wounded Warriors Project.

We met Art at CG sporting events and his personality was contagious. If you didn't like Art, then you probably don't like anybody. We will miss him a lot!

Although I didn´t get to know Art for very long, about 2 years he is a great friend! I´ll miss him immensely and may GOD look after all of his friends and family.
