BARBARA GAMBREL
LIMA — Barbara A. Gambrel, 70, died at 9:01 AM on Monday, January 25, 2016, at St. Rita's Medical Center in Lima, Ohio.
Barbara was born on September 9, 1945, in Lima, Ohio, to the late Lester C. Swickrath Sr and Louella (Campbell) Swickrath.
Barbara married Donald Ray Gambrel on June 29, 1965, who preceded her in death on July 6, 1994. She loved flower arranging and reading her books. Above all else she loved her grandkids the most. She loved being a mother and Elvis was #1 to her.
She was survived by two sons, Donald (Paula) Gambrel and Jeffrey (Dana) Gambrel, a daughter, Rebecca (Roger) Gambrel; ten grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren; a brother, Tim (Nan) Swickrath, a sister, Sandra (Bill) Carpenter, a brother, John (Shirley) Swickrath.
She was preceded in death by, a son, Jason L. Gambrel, a granddaughter, Amber Gambrel and a brother, Lester Swickrath.
The family will receive friends from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. on Friday, January 29, 2016 at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home in Lima, Ohio.
A funeral service will begin at 1:00 P.M. on Friday, January 29, 2016 at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
