WAPAKONETA -- Blanche Alberta "Peach" Spring, 95, of Wapakoneta, OH formerly of New Hampshire, OH, passed away early Friday morning, October 3, 2025, at Otterbein SeniorLife Community in Cridersville, Ohio.
Alberta was born on March 12, 1930, in Suwannee County, FL, a daughter of the late Arthur and Lucille (Wells) Roberts. She married Lester C. Spring on August 18, 1961, in Lake City, FL and he preceded her in death on June 13, 2014. She is also preceded in death by five siblings, Oswald Roberts, Joe Roberts, Vance Roberts, Kayton Roberts, and Frances Calvo, and her son-in-law, Larry McLean.
Peach is survived by her daughter, Sandra McLean of Wapakoneta, five granddaughters, Laurel (Steve) Burkholder of Columbus Grove, OH, Jolie (Jerry) Martin of Wapakoneta, OH, Erin (Jonathan) Barrette of Lafayette, IN, Elise (Craig) Rice of Celina, OH, and Christy (Carmen) Rhine-McLean of Wapakoneta, OH, eighteen great grandchildren, and eight great-great grandchildren and two more on the way.
Peach was a longtime seamstress at Superior Coach in Lima, OH, retiring in 1997. She was a member of Gethsemane Baptist Church of Wapakoneta, OH, and formerly of Waynesfield Baptist Church. She enjoyed traveling, playing country music and singing with her guitar (particularly hymns), and mostly enjoyed spending time with her family. She loved eating at Cracker Barrel and playing games with her grandchildren at family gatherings. Her love for others was paramount, and she showed that love to everyone she met. She had an ornery sense of humor and loved to laugh! She will be greatly missed by so many.
Pastor J. Martin will begin funeral services at 2:00 pm, Friday, October 10, 2025, at Shoffstall Funeral Home, 205 S. Main St., Lakeview, OH with visitation from 12:00 noon until 2:00 pm. Burial will follow in Mt. Tabor Cemetery, Gutman, OH.
