Bobby Vires Obituary

LIMA -- It is with heavy hearts we announce, Bobby Dean Vires, age 72, passed away on June 24, 2025, at 6:31 pm.

Bobby was born on April 7, 1953, in Lima, OH, to James and Laura (Combs) Vires, who preceded him in death.

Bobby was a 1972 graduate of Bath High School. He ended his career at the Proctor & Gamble Lima plant after 30 years of service. In his free time, Bobby enjoyed collecting coins, watching western movies, reading the newspaper, and doing crossword puzzles. He was a longtime fan of Cincinnati Reds baseball and Ohio State Buckeyes football.

He is survived by his daughters, Tina (Dave) Jones and Deborah Adkins, his brothers, Eugene (Ruth) Vires of Lima, OH, Ronnie Vires of Elida, OH, and Don (Jodi Hunt) Vires of Lima, OH, his sisters, Kathleen Perry of Columbus, OH, and Terri Vires of Lima, OH, 8 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sons, Bobby Dean Vires Jr. and James Dean Vires, and his sister, Linda Sue Vires.

At his request, there will be no services held. At a later date, his cremated remains will be taken to Jackson, KY, to be buried alongside his loved ones who passed before him.
