Brian Foust Obituary

BRIAN FOUST

ELIDA — Brian went to be with his sister, Ida and brother, Frank and the Lord late Sunday night, January 25th. After being diagnosed with AML Leukemia in 2012, and a successful bone marrow transplant in 2014, a sudden illness was a bigger fight than he was ready for.

He was born December 23, 1964 to Frances (Shoemaker) Foust and Franklin Foust, who survive. Also surviving is: his daughter, Kaylin (Nathan) Good of Elida; his son, Cole (Melissa) Foust of Columbus, OH; his sister, Kari (Steve) Wilson, one granddaughter, Reagan Kay Good, several nephews and one niece and his longtime companion, Tracy (Meier) Szilagye, her four children and one granddaughter. Also left behind, his beloved dog, Fallon.

Brian was a graduate of Elida High School class of 1983. From there, he went to the Hobart trade school in Troy, OH; receiving his welding/fabricating certification.

Brian moved to Whitefish, Montana in 2005. He loved his new found home with much of his heart. As part of his final wishes, his ashes will be returned to the Big Sky County.

A memorial service will begin at 5:00 p.m., Saturday, February 7, 2015 at Bayliff & Son Funeral Home, Cridersville. The family will receive friends from 2:00 – 5:00 p.m., Saturday at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to The Leukemia And Lymphoma Society or the family.

I recently met Brian through my sister, while he was awaiting his transplant . As we talked about the doubts, side effects and fear he would suffer, I told him much I admired his strength, courage and will to live that he would go through with such a tremendous fight for life! Brian looked at me with such sincere gratitude and thanked me for acknowledging that "everyone should have a right to fight or not fight for their life!" He wanted the fight! You did a great job Brian! Now you can rest in peace within that " big sky" ,
