MILLER CITY -- Bridget Niese, 14, of Miller City, passed away on Tuesday, November 5, 2024, at Nationwide Children's Hospital, Columbus, after a courageous battle against brain cancer. She was born August 23, 2010, in Bluffton, to Matthew J. and Augusta (Quinn) Niese, they survive in Miller City.
Bridget is also survived by a brother: Devin Niese; a sister: Brielle Niese, both at home; paternal grandparents: John and Connie Niese, of Columbus Grove; three aunts: Jenny (Brian) Prisco of Columbus, Sarah (Dennis) Behrens, and Katie Niese, both of Solon; and various cherished great aunts, uncles and cousins.
She is preceded in death by her maternal grandmother, Janine Quinn.
Bridget was a member of St. Nicholas Catholic Church, Miller City. She was a student at Miller City High School, where she was a cheerleader, and an honor student. Bridget was a dancer at The Performing Arts Center, Glandorf since she was 3 years old. She was a Girl Scout for 10 years, and a member of 4H since 2020. Bridget enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, and she loved her cat, Megatron.
Funeral Mass will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, November 12, 2024, at St. Nicholas Catholic Church, Miller City with Fr. Scott Perry officiating. Burial will take place in St. Nicholas Cemetery at a later date. A visitation will be held from 2 to 8 p.m. on Monday and again on Tuesday from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. at Love Funeral Home, Ottawa.
Memorial donations may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
