LIMA — Carey Steven Blevins, 59, went to be with Jesus on December 9, 2021, at The Ohio State Medical Center.
Carey was born September 11, 1962 in Panama City, FL, to Billie and Marion (Inghram) Blevins; his father preceded him in death and his mother survives him in Lima. On April 10, 1993, he married Leah (Keiser) Blevins, who survives him in Lima.
Carey was a 1981 graduate of Elida High School and he went on to earn his Associate of Computer Science from Ohio Northern University. He worked as an assembly worker for SRK in Bluffton and attended Lima Mennonite Church. Carey was an avid reader with a wonderful, dry sense of humor. He loved computer gaming, photography and science fiction television shows. Carey enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his nieces and nephews, and he dearly loved his cats.
In addition to his wife and mother, Carey is survived by his brothers, Jerry Allen (Rhonda) Blevins and Robert Kenneth Blevins; aunts, Dee Clay, Joyce (TJ) Taflinger, Donna (Calvin Thompson) Gail and Pat Blevins; many cousins, nieces, nephews and his cats, Hunny Bear, Sebastian, Natasha, Heinrich, & Wolfgang.
In addition to his father, he is preceded in death by many aunts and uncles.
Funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, December 13, 2021 at CHILES-LAMAN FUNERAL & CREMATION SERVICES, SHAWNEE CHAPEL with Rev. Al Elmore to officiate the service.
Visitation will be Monday, December 13, 2021, from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to Lifeline of Ohio.
