LIMA -- Christopher Michael "Chris" Poling, age 32, passed away at 2:24 p.m. Monday, October 24, 2022, at Mercy Health - St. Rita's Medical Center with his family by his side.

Christopher was born February 2, 1990 in Lima, OH, to Dennis Poling and Robin (Roth) Holbrook.

Christopher was a 2008 graduate of Perry High School and received his Machining Certificate from the Apollo Career Center. He loved all things outdoors, including camping, fishing and Marksmanship. Christopher is a registered organ donor and his family has honored his wishes. Even though Christopher has only been with us 32 years, he is helping other people to remain on this earth longer for their families. He would give the shirt off his back, if you needed it.

He is survived by his dad, Dennis Poling of Lima; mom, Robin Holbrook of Lima; 3 brothers, James (Christal) Poling of Lima, Channing Poling of Elida, Dalton Poling of Elida; Sister, Brina Honcell of Lima; grandma Sandy Roth of Lima; 2 aunts, Kimberly Roth, Doreen Poling; uncle, Scott Roth; niece, Addison Poling, 2 nephews, Landen Poling and Easton Poling; 2 cousins, Karla Honcell and Desmond Nance and his best friend and very loved dog, Girl.

He is preceded in death by his grandpa, James Roth and grandparents, Richard and Jane Poling.

Services celebrating Christopher's life will begin at 7:00 p.m. Monday, October 31, 2022, at Chiles-Laman Funeral and Cremation Services, Shawnee Chapel. Pastor Jonathon Spyker will officiate.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Monday, October 31, prior to the service at the funeral home.
