BURFORDVILLE, MO — Dana Lou Roose was born in Lima Ohio on August 6, 1943. She was a Mother, Grandma, Sister and Cousin. Dana passed away in her home on her Son and Daughter-in-Laws ranch in Burfordville, MO. We know that she is now happily surrounded with family and friends who passed before her.
Dana was survived by; Andrew Paul Roose (Becky), Tate Parker, Tamara Parker, Abby Roose, Larry Aaron Roose (Meachelle), Dalton Roose (Jacqlyn), Jezalyn Roose, Judy Hawthorn, Herbert McVicker Jr.
She was preceded in death by Herbert Sr. and Hazel McVicker, Dona Lee Fischer, Shirley McVicker, Carol Bishop and Marta McVicker.
Dana retired from Marimor Industries in Lima, Ohio after 30 years. Her passion was serving the mentally handicapped and she spent all those years doing just that. Dana enjoyed watching any kind of sports on television including her favorite Big Time Wrestling. She liked playing card games with family. She also loved doing yard work.
Until she moved to Southeast MO to spend time with her 2 Sons and her grandchildren she put on these huge Pot Luck family gatherings at Christmas time every year. There were dozens of people gathered and more food than all could possibly eat. It was a great joy for her that she looked forward to every year.
Dana will be laid to rest with her Twin Sister in Ohio in the Spring.
