WAPAKONETA -- Daniel F. Dietz, 85, Wapakoneta, died 3:15 p.m. Sat. Sept. 28, 2024, at St. Rita's Medical Center, Lima. Mass 10:30 a.m., Wed. Oct. 2, 2024, at St. John Catholic Church, Fryburg. Visitation 2-4 & 6-8 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 1, and 9-10 a.m., Wed. at Eley Funeral Home & Crematory, Wapakoneta.

JUST FOUND OUT ABOUT DAN'S PASSING AND WANTED TO EXPRESS MY CONDOLENCES AND PRAYERS FOR HIS FAMILY. DAN WAS A VERY DEVOTED STAFF MEMBER AT OUR RADIO STATION (WCSM-AM/FM) FOR OVER 20 YEARS. HE WAS PASSIONATE ABOUT HIS WORK AND DEDICATED TO SERVING THE PUBLIC THROUGH HIS FOCUS AND ABILITIES TO KEEP THE STATIONS FUNCTIONING EACH DAY. I CERTAINLY REMEMBER DAN'S EFFORTS DURING THE FLOODS OF 2003 THAT SURROUNDED OUR STATION. DAN WOULD ARRIVE BY BOAT EACH DAY TO ENSURE THAT THE STATIONS WOULD BE ON THE AIR IN ORDER TO PROVIDE IMPORTANT INFORMATION TO THE PUBLIC DURING A VERY TOUGH TIME. I WILL MISS CONNECTING WITH DAN AND SHARING OLD STORIES ABOUT OUR TIMES TOGETHER. SINCERELY, JOHN COE (FORMER OWNER OF RADIO STATIONS WCSM-AM/FM IN CELINA)
