Daniel Oliphant Obituary
LIMA — Daniel Oliphant, age 71 of Lima, passed away Thursday, Dec. 10, 2020, at 8:55 a.m. at his residence.
He was born May 6, 1949, in Lima, OH, to John and Alberta (Simmons) Oliphant who preceded him in death.
Surviving are his sister, Patricia Reynolds of Lima, and nieces and nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews and great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews.
He was also preceded in death by his brothers, John Henry Oliphant, Jr., James Owen Oliphant, David L. Oliphant and Sylvester Oliphant.
He was a retired U.S. Army veteran. He also had worked at Buckeye Pipeline for many years and he had also worked at Lima Memorial Hospital. He was an avid artist, doing paintings and drawings. He loved comedy television, including Comedy Central. He was a 1967 graduate of Lima Senior High School.
Services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, Dec. 15, 2020, at the Shawnee Chapel of Chiles-Laman Funeral Cremation Services, with Pastor Clarence McGriff officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery following the service, with military rites by V.F.W. Post 1275 and the U.S. Army Honor Guard. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service in the funeral home.

I would like to offer my sincere condolences to this precious family of Daniel Oliphant. I know personally from meeting Mr. Daniel that he was a kind ,and respectful man. I pray comfort, and God's wonderful strength over the family.
