LIMA — Darrell D. Fenton,84, passed away February 2, 2019, at 11:38 am, at Lima Memorial Health Systems, surrounded by his loving family. Darrell was born June 8, 1934 in North Loup, NE, to George and Clara (Hibner) Fenton who preceded him in death. On June 20, 1959 he married Elizabeth "Jane" Fenton who passed away on August 13, 2001. On April 5, 2003 he married Judith (Bechtol) Fenton who survives in Lima, OH.
Darrell graduated from North Loup High School in 1952. He worked at Central Concrete for 25 year as a sales manager. He was a co owner of Concrete Preservation Specialists (CPS) for about 10 years. He was then the owner / operator of Sugar Creek Construction for 16 years until retirement. Darrell was a life member of First Baptist Church where he was very active and served on various committees. He volunteered at CUP food pantry and Habitat of Humanity. Darrell was member of the Lima Eagles #370 and Homebuilders Association. Darrell was a big baseball fan and enjoyed watching the Lima Locos with Judy. He also enjoyed wood working, bowling, fishing and playing euchre. Darrell also found peace being in his garden. He truly loved his wife and children and cherished being around his grandchildren.
Darrell is survived by his wife, Judith "Judy" Fenton of Lima, OH, children, Sally (Jeffrey) Golden of Monroe, MI, D. Dean (Sharon) Fenton, Jr. of Cridersville, OH, Jennifer (Michael) DePoy of Ft. Wayne, IN, David (Shelly) Fenton of Spencerville, OH, Suzanne (Richard) "Dick" Woeber of Springfield, OH, stepchildren, Douglas Holten, Jackee Neal of Lima, OH, Lisa (Michael) Laurent of Gahnna, OH, John (Rosa) Staup of MN, Joe Staup of Columbus City, IN, brother, Donald (Rosie) Fenton of Grand Island, NE, 19 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his first wife, Elizabeth "Jane" Fenton, step son, Michael Holten, siblings, Eddie Fenton, Harold Fenton, Myrtle Smith, and Bernice Boyed and grandson, Caleb Woeber.
Funeral Services will be held on February 6, 2019 at 10:00AM at First Baptist Church, 451 N Cable Road, Lima, Ohio 45805, with visitation held one hour prior to the service. Pastor Andrew Shields to officiate the service. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery following the service. Visitation will be on February 5, 2019 from 4:00PM to 8:00PM at CHILES-LAMAN FUNERAL HOMES, SHAWNEE CHAPEL.

So very sorry for your loss. Craig and I are so thankful we were able to sit and visit with Darrell and his wife this past Christmas at your family dinner. He was such a nice man. Our prayers will be lifted for the family's comfort and peace during this difficult time.
