LIMA -- David L. Augsburger, 84, passed away on June 13, 2023, at 11:55 pm, at Burton's Ridge Assisted Living.
David was born February 11, 1939 in Lima, OH, to Charles and Marie (Greene) Augsburger who both preceded him in death. On October 21, 1961 he married Mary Jane (Swaney) Augsburger who survives in Lima, OH.
David attended Harrod High School. He was honorably discharged from the United States Army after two years of service. David was a trailer mechanic at Duff Truck Lines and other trucking companies throughout his career. David and his wife attended Auglaize Bible church for many years. He also enjoyed working in the garage in his spare time and spending time helping others. David cherished his wife and loved spending time with his children and grandchildren.
David is survived by his wife, Mary Jane Augsburger of Lima, OH, children, Tamara (Dana) McClure of Ada, OH, David (Emiko) Augsburger Jr. of Greenville, OH, Bruce (Donetta) Augsburger of Crystal River, FL, Brian (Lori) Augsburger of Norwood, OH, sister, Ruth Ann Wireman of Kenton, OH, sister-in-law, Rebecca Augsburger of TX, grandchildren, Brandon (Kelly) McClure of Ada, OH, Heather (Kyle) Faulder of Alger, OH, Nick Norvell of Greenville, OH, Ryan (Carly) Augsburger of Ashland, MO, Samantha (Sean) O'Rourke of Bethel, OH, Tabitha (John) Kane of Citrus Springs, FL, Ethan Augsburger of Crystal River, FL, Jacob Augsburger of Crystal River, FL, BreeAnn (Joe) Kramer of Fairfield, OH, Timothy Augsburger of Norwood, OH, Faith Augsburger of Norwood, OH and twelve great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his daughter, Lori Anne Augsburger, siblings, Kenneth Augsburger, Dennis Augsburger, sister-in-law, Rose Augsburger and brother-in-law, Chester Wireman.
Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, June 21, 2023 at 2:00pm at Chiles-Laman Funeral Homes, Eastside Chapel. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery following the service.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, June 21, 2023 from 12:00pm to 2:00pm at the Eastside Chapel.
