AMARILLO, TX -- David Binder, 76, of Amarillo, passed away on Friday, February 6, 2026. Services will be held at a later date in Louisiana.
David was born April 8, 1949 in Lima, Ohio to William "Bill" and Marjorie Binder. He graduated from Lima Central Catholic School in 1967 and went on to proudly serve in the U.S. Navy in Pensacola, Florida on the USS Lexington. He married Frances Daigle on November 21, 1976 in New Orleans, Louisiana.
David worked in insurance for a short time, but moved on to work as a pizza delivery driver for many years, a job he enjoyed very much. In his spare time, he loved spending time with the grandkids playing UNO and other card games. David like giving out candy to all the kids at Halloween. He enjoyed playing video games, watching war movies and traveling.
David was a big sports fan, especially the New Orleans Saints, the Cincinnati Reds and the Chicago Cubs. He loved attending the grandkid's games. He was also a great jokester. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William "Bill" and Marjorie Binder; and his wife, Frances Binder.
Survivors include three children, Colleen D'Amico and husband Charles of Amarillo, Adam Binder and wife Jing (Jenny) Xu of Chattanooga, TX, and Nicholas Binder and wife Hollie of Indianapolis, IN; three brothers, W.G. "Jerry" Binder, Jr. of New Orleans, LA, Paul Binder and wife Mary of New Buffalo, MI, and Matthew Binder and wife Jen of Lima, OH; and two grandchildren, Crewe and Carly.
