DAVID CARPENTER
LAS VEGAS — David Lee Carpenter, 69, of Las Vegas, died peacefully Feb. 18, 2016, at his residence.
He was born Nov. 10, 1946, in Lima, the son of the late Harold "Ted" and Audrey "Dolly" Carpenter. His wife, Lynda Carpenter, survives.
Also surviving are two daughters, Suzanne Carpenter, of Las Vegas, Nev., and Heather (Paul) Stegal, of Dallas, Texas; two granddaughters, two brothers, Ken Carpenter, of Bluffton, and Gary (Shannon) Carpenter, of North Carolina; and a sister, Victoria (Mike) Hoenie, of Pennsylvania.
He was a 1964 graduate of Columbus Grove High School and a 1968 graduate of Bowling Green State University, where he was a member of the Phi Delta Theta Fraternity and the football team. Dave retired from State Farm Insurance in Uniontown, where he owned and operated his agency for more than 30 years.
Dave was able to complete his bucket list of seeing all of the Major League Baseball stadiums before he died.
A celebration of life service will be held at a later date.
