LIMA -- Dean Allen Tidd, 77, passed away at 12:29 p.m. on Saturday, July 29, 2023, at Mercy Health St. Rita's Medical Center.
Dean was born on June 9, 1946, in Lima, Ohio, to Elmer Dean and Lilly Marcell (Harter) Tidd.
He was formerly married to Darlene Sowers and later Shirley Tidd, both of whom still survive.
Dean was a Lima Senior High School graduate, class of 1964. He had worked for B & T Distributors and Edco Tool & Supply. He also was a volunteer for the Restoration House
He is survived by his daughter, Melissa (Kelly Ricker) Page; stepdaughters, Heather (Nicholas Griffin) Goodman and Kathy (Paul) Cox; grandchildren: Samantha Page, Koby Page, and Kiera Page; step-grandchildren: Jonathon Morlock, Andrew Morlock, Jessica Goodman, Jacob Goodman, Kylee Griffin, Cortnie Neumeier, Michael Cox, Christopher Morlock, Jennifer Daugherty, Brittney Dunbar, and Ashley Shaner; numerous step-great-grandchildren; and close friends: Bobbie Nevarez, Ron Russell, and Richard Holtzapple.
He was preceded in death by his parents and stepson, Kenneth Morlock.
The family will receive friends from 5 – 7 p.m. on Wednesday, August 2, 2023, at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home, Lima, Ohio. The memorial service will start at 6:30 p.m. Pastor Keith Hamblen will officiate.
In lieu of flowers and memorial gifts, memorial contributions may be made to Restoration House, 759 W. Wayne St., Lima, OH 45801.
