DIANA DERRINGER
ALEXANDRIA — Diana Lynn Derringer, 62, passed peacefully at her home in Alexandria surrounded by her family on Saturday February 18 after a battle with a rare form of cancer. Diana was born on December 18, 1954 to Charles Joseph and F. Mildred Seeling in Waverly, Ohio.
Diana was warm and caring and will be remembered first for her thoughtfulness and genuine concern for others, often putting the needs of others above her own. Diana had a strong relationship with the Lord and believed it was important that she be very involved with the church. Diana cherished being a mother and grandmother and she took advantage of every opportunity to create memories she hoped they would always remember as being special. Diana will be remembered by her family as a joyous hostess, a creative artist, an expert volunteer, a loving grandmother, an interior decorator, a Christmas aficionado and someone they could always call and talk to in a time of need.
Mrs. Derringer was preceded in death by her mother (Mildred), father (Charles), step-father Gene Fultz, brothers Andrew and Gary Seeling, and sister Peggy Mason.
She leaves behind husband Dan Derringer, Sister Rose Morris, Brother Joseph E. Seeling, daughters Tiffany (Alec) Messerall and Danielle (Rob) LaSota, sons David (Kerry) Butler, Allen (Sara) Butler and Michael Derringer. Diana leaves behind 7 grandchildren: David Butler Jr, Hailey Butler, Emily Butler, Elise Butler, Emmett Messerall, Alice Messerall and Sydney LaSota.
Services will be held on Friday, February 24, 2017 at 11:30 A.M. at Green Lawn Cemetery Chapel. Chaplain Joshua Stone will officiate the ceremony.
