OTTAWA – Diana S. Horstman, 74, of Ottawa died 12:25 p.m. Sunday, April 24, 2022, at Blanchard Valley Hospital, Findlay. She was born October 31, 1947, to the late Raymond and Mary (Drummelsmith) Weis. On July 22, 1972, she married Ken Horstman, who survives in Ottawa.
Diana is survived by 4 daughters: Amy Horstman of Findlay, Shari Ruffing of Clyde, Connie (Bobby) Cerney of Bloomington, IN and Lisa (Darin) Smith of Dalton; 5 grandchildren: Tyler and Claire Cerney and Gretta, Josie and Janie Smith; a sister: Donna (Dale) Utrup of Ottawa; a brother: Bill Weis of Ottawa; and brother-in-law: Ed Mangas of Leipsic.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Darla Mangas; a sister-in-law, Mary Kay Weis; a son-in-law, Chuck Ruffing; and a grandson, Andrew Smith.
Diana retired from Ottawa-Glandorf schools, where she had been a cook for many years. She had previously worked for Sylvania/Phillips and Big Wheel. Diana was a member of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church. She enjoyed playing cards, camping and family vacations, puzzles and shopping. Her greatest love was spending time with her grandchildren.
The funeral mass for Diana will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, April 29, 2022, at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Ottawa with Father Scott Kramer officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m. Thursday, with a rosary service at 7:30 p.m., and Friday from 9 to 10 a.m. at LOVE FUNERAL HOME, Ottawa.
Memorial contributions may be made to Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, to Sts. Peter and Paul School or a charity of the donor's choice. Online condolences may be expressed at www.lovefuneralhome.com.
