Donald was born May 20, 1944, in Lima, OH, to Francis and Dorothy (Whilhelmy) Miner, both preceded him in death.
Don was a proud veteran and an even prouder father. After retiring from the Marines and serving faithfully in the Air Force Reserves, he carried the same strength, loyalty, and determination into every part of his life. He never met a stranger-within minutes of knowing him, you felt like you'd known him forever. He loved to dance, to joke, and to "cut up," filling every room with Laughter. He was a familiar and beloved face at the Allen Co. Fair, where he worked for more than 20 years. His dedication, hard work, and good humor made him a valued part of the fair community, and he looked forward to it every year. Don was the kind of man who would do anything for anyone yet rarely allowed others to do the same for him. His stubborn independence was matched only by his huge heart. Every day ended with a bowl of chocolate ice cream, a simple joy he never outgrew. He found peace outdoors, spending countless hours hunting, fishing, and enjoying the quiet of nature. He also had a passion for collecting, especially coins and knives. He lived fully and gave generously, leaving behind memories as bold and unforgettable as he was.
He is survived by his 3 children, Donny Miner, Todd Miner, and Jessica (Steve) Huck; Six grandchildren, Ricky, Carrie, Meghan, Riealegh, Ashley (Ian), and Logan.
Preceded in death by His ten siblings, Barbara Opperman, Sondra Hancock, Freda Dotson, Twin Sister, Donna Jean Money, Maude Colley, Bernard 'Butch' Miner, Walter 'Wally' Miner, Paul Miner, and Richard 'Dick' Burrell.
