DONNA McCLANAHAN
CAIRO — Donna May (Earl Ebling) McClanahan, age 85, died at 6:52 a.m. on December 8, 2015, at Hilty Memorial Home, Pandora, Ohio.
She was born on September 16, 1930, in Cairo, to Donald Francis and Vernie May (Wood) Earl. They both preceded her in death.
She married Ronald R. Ebling in 1949, and they had five children. She married Lester McClanahan on November 19, 1977, who preceded her in death on June 4, 1994.
Donna May was a 1948 graduate of Lima Central High School, and then worked at her parents' business, Earl's Hardware. She later worked at Holiday Inn, and retired after many years from the Cairo Branch of the Lima Public Library. She was a member of the Cairo United Methodist Church, where she taught Sunday School and was a member of the Cairo United Methodist Women's Society. Donna was a Den Mother for her sons' Cub Scout Troop. She was also a member of the Cairo Card Club and Hix N' Chix Square Dance Club.
Donna is survived by three sons: Michael (Patricia) Ebling of Columbus Grove, Randall (Cindy) Ebling of Findlay and Scott Ebling of Melbourne, Fl; two daughters: Diane (Max) Miller of Cairo and Lori (Kelly Six) Ebling of Columbus, Ohio; 10 grandchildren: Josh Ebling, Noel (Jamie) Ebling, Nate (Kathe Bumbaugh) Ebling, Chad (Amy) Ebling, Carrie (Nathan) Beare, Travis Ebling, Deanna Ebling, Zachary (Kelly) Miller, Brittany (Nate) Dunahay and Shelby Six; 10 great grandchildren: Kale, Sage, Noah, Christian, Olivia, Brady, Ava, Evelyn, Charlie and Grant; one brother: Robert (Patricia) Earl of Melbourne Beach, Fl; and one sister: Arlene (Thomas) Johnson of Palm Bay, Fl.
She was preceded in death by a nephew Neal Earl.
Services will begin at 1:00 p.m., on Saturday, December 12, 2015, at Cairo United Methodist Church. Pastors Ruth Ann Scoby and Rich Rakay will co-officiate, with burial at Cairo Eastside Cemetery, Ohio.
Friends may call from 2:00-4:00p.m. and 6:00-8:00 p.m., on Friday, December 11, 2015, at Cairo United Methodist Church.
Memorial donations may be made to the Cairo United Methodist Church.
