DONNA POLLOCK
DELPHOS — Donna M. Pollock, 95, died at 7 p.m. Nov. 29, 2014, at St. Rita's Medical Center in Lima, surrounded by her loving family.
She was born Oct. 5, 1919, in Paulding County to Clarence and Edith Little Foust, who preceded her in death. On Dec. 31, 1938, she married Arlo D. Pollock, who died Oct. 31, 2001.
Mrs. Pollock retired after 23 years of working in the banking industry, having worked at several area banks. She later retired from the cash office at Elder Beerman's in Lima at the age of 90. She was a founding member of the former Middle Point Presbyterian Church. She was a member of the Delphos First Presbyterian Church. She graduated from Union High School in Van Wert County in 1938. She had been honored as a "Flower in Full Bloom" during the Van Wert Peony Festival. She had been very active in raising money for various organizations in Middle Point and Van Wert. She was a longtime director of the Middle Point Telephone Co. She taught Sunday school and loved to travel. Most of all, she loved her family.
Survivors include three children, Arlett (Dan) Evans, of Lima, Jacqueline Roberts, of Van Wert, and Dennis (Pat) Pollock, of Van Wert; five grandchildren, Paula (Chris) Comer, Kristy Long, Amy (Mark) Dunlap, Matthew (Rebecca) Pollock, and Eric (Michelle) Evans; 13 great-grandchildren, Keeley (Cole) Welker, Ariel Comer, Kristian Comer, Aryonna Hoghe, Brynn Hoghe, Kendall Hoghe, Reagan Dunlap, Collin Dunlap, Andrew Pollock, Catherine Pollock, Michael Pollock, Ruby Evans, and Maria Evans; and two great-great-grandchildren, Keegan Comer and Hunter Welker.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Paul Foust; a sister, Mary Ellen Foust; and a granddaughter, Stephanie Pollock.
Services will begin at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home & Crematory in Van Wert. The Rev. Harry Tolhurst will officiate. Burial will be in Ridge Cemetery in Middle Point.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Contributions may be made to the Delphos First Presbyterian Church or to an organization of the donor's choice.
