DOROTHY SHEFFIELD
LIMA — Dorothy R. Sheffield, age 70, passed away March 19, 2016, at her residence. Dorothy was born October 27, 1945 in Lima, OH, to Harold Lee and Thelma R. ( Suydam ) Rhoades who preceded her in death. On March 2, 1963 she married Robert A. Sheffield Jr. who preceded her in death on April 25, 2007.
Dorothy was a homemaker. She was an avid Ohio State University Buckeye football fan. Dorothy had a great love of music and she is once again dancing with her husband and her dog "Missy".
Dorothy was survived by 2 daughters; Diane Boop of Lima, OH and Suzie Stewart of Spencerville, OH, 6 grandchildren; Crystal, Cole, Robert, Cody, Katie and Jacob, 2 great grandchildren; Laney Mae and Aubrey, a sister, Nancy Rhoades formerly of Columbus Grove, a sister-in-law, Diane Sexton of CA, a brother-in-law, T.J. Sheffield of Lima, OH, 2 sisters-in-law, Julie Sheffield of Decatur, IN and Nora Niblick of Decatur, IN, and a brother-in-law, Dave Sheffield of Lima, OH. She was preceded in death by 2 brothers; Donald Rhoades and Walt Rhoades, a sister, Freda Luma, a son-in-law, Kevin Boop and a brother-in-law, Bill Sheffield.
There will not be any services. Memorial contributions may be made to the family to assist them with funeral expenses.
