Duane Wright Obituary

LIMA -- Duane Wright age 67, passed away on May 13th 2025 at Mercy Health Hospital in Lima, OH.

Duane Wright was born February 10, 1958 in Lima, Ohio to the union of James Otis Wright and Lola Lee (Crisp)Wright-Price both parents preceeded him in death.

He graduated from Shawnee High School in 1976. He was a United States Air Force veteran who earned a Commendation Medal during his service. He enlisted as a Construction Equipment Operator Specialist. Following his military career, he worked as a union laborer and was a skilled carpenter by trade.

He leaves behind a legacy of love and laughter that will live on in all of us. He was not only a great father, but a truly good mankind, steady, and full of heart.

He found joy in the simple pleasures-listening to jazz and spending quiet moments fishing with the family. Those memories will forever live in our heart.

He leaves to cherish his beloved daughter: Sha'Tonna Wright of Lima. 4 stepchildren; Dawana Taylor, Tawana Barnett, Billie Savage (Eli) and Bill Barnett all of Lima. 11 grandchildren. 3 brothers; Frederick Wright of Missouri, Raoul Wright of Lima and Robert L. Price, Jr. (Tinitia) of Illinois. 4 sisters; Sonsiera Stewart and Juanita Savage (Tony) both of Lima. Sunsaray Price of Findlay and LaDanna Price of Georgia. A host of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death a brother; James Otis Wright, Jr.

Home going/memorial services will on Friday May 30th, 2025, at 1pm, at One Church Lima 3075 Yocum Rd Lima, Oh 45806.
