LIMA -- Edith Rose McPheron, 66, of Lima passed away at 8:55 PM on Tuesday, March 25, 2025, at Lima Memorial Hospital.
She was born on June 2, 1958, in Lima to the late Fred McPheron and Rosemary (Martin) McPheron, who survives in Lima. She had been married to Robert "Spyder" Heidenescher, who preceded her in death on November 11, 2014.
Edie passed away peacefully, surrounded by those who loved her, after a courageous battle with cancer. Some of her favorite memories were made fishing on Lake Erie with her beloved husband Bob and their close circle of friends, sharing laughter and stories on the water. A proud fan of the Ohio State Buckeyes and the Cincinnati Bengals, Edie loved cheering on her teams.
Edie dedicated many years to her work at Lombardo's Café, where she was known for her warm smile and the joy she brought to coworkers and patrons alike. She was also a longtime supporter and volunteer at Spyder's Boxing Club, where she played an active role in supporting young athletes and building community.
On May 5th, 2021, Edie made the life-changing decision to accept Jesus Christ as her personal Savior. Her deep faith became her anchor through the challenges of her illness, and she lived each day with hope and purpose. As a devoted member of Lima Baptist Temple, Edie was actively involved in volunteering through the church. Especially with the vacation bible school program and neighborhood cleanup and repair efforts. She had a heart for service and loved helping others.
Edie's strength, compassion, and faith leave a lasting legacy. She will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege to know her.
Surviving are her step-son Robert Heidenescher, Jr.; her grandchildren Kory (Stacey) Carter, Skylar Heidenescher, Joseph Heidenescher, Katelyn Mills and Amber Rae Dodds; three great-grandchildren. Also surviving are her siblings Mark (Pam) McPheron, Norman "Pete" (Becky) McPheron, Patti Radulovich, Jennifer (Adam) Wright, Becky (Danny) Farber, Fred McPheron, Jim McPheron, David (Micha) McPheron and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her brother Dana P. McPheron; step-daughter Katie Marie Mills; her brother-in-law Michael Radulovich.
Funeral Services will be held at 12:00 on Tuesday, April 1, 2025, at Lima Baptist Temple, 982 Brower Road, Lima. The family will receive friends for two hours prior to the service from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the church.
