DELPHOS — Eileen Florence Lause, 96, of Delphos, passed away on December 11, 2020. She was born January 20, 1924, to Albert J. and Leona (Stippich) Suever. She was united in marriage to Donald G. Lause; he preceded her in death on January 31, 1990.
She is survived by her sons, Glen Lause of Naples, Florida and Neal (LuAnn Holt) Lause of Lima; a brother, Carl Suever of Delphos; and many nieces and nephews. At that point, her son, Neal, would continue the family business and Eileen would work in the office.
She was a graduate of Jefferson High School and played in the band for four years. She received a First place medal at State and a Third place at National for playing a clarinet in a musical instrument trio. She also enjoyed playing the organ and reading. As a member of the Delphos Public Library, she kept a list of all the books she read and as of last count it was over 2,500 books. She also had an extensive collection of Hummels.

Don had his International Driver's license and they drove in nine countries in Europe and returned home on the British ship QEII. She, Don, and Neal would also travel to all the NASCAR races each racing season.
