Devin Dwayne Lause was born January 12, 1971 in Washington, MO to Kenneth "Kenny" and Shirley (nee' Hagedorn) Lause. He passed away at his home in Augusta, MO on Wednesday, October 15, 2025 at the age of 54 years.
Devin grew up in Union, MO where he attended Immaculate Conception School and graduated from Union High School in 1989. After high school, Devin continued his education at East Central College and completed a Bachelor's degree in business management from Southwest Missouri State University in Springfield, MO in 1993. He was united in marriage to Krista Doehring on June 27, 2003 at Zion United Church of Christ in Union. The couple made their home in Augusta and their marriage was blessed with two children, Ella and Kolten.
Devin began his career working at Frick's Market in Union while he was in high school. After completing his education, he began his career as a sales representative. He worked for Shure Manufacturing in Union for several years until he accepted a sales position with Lista International. Devin completed his career in sales working for Industrial Shelving Systems in Kirkwood. When he wasn't working, Devin enjoyed being outdoors fishing, deer hunting, and working in his yard. He also enjoyed playing poker with his friends and watching sports, primarily the St. Louis Cardinals and St. Louis Blues. Most of all, Devin loved spending time surrounded by his loving family and friends. Devin's children meant the world to him. He enjoyed attending their games and extracurricular activities, always cheering them on from the sidelines and encouraging them to pursue whatever their interests were at the time. Devin grew up as a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Union and later became a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Augusta.
Devin was preceded in death by his parents, Kenny and Shirley (nee' Hagedorn) Lause; his mother-in-law, Judy Doehring (nee' Heitman); sister-in-law, Paula Forck (nee' Doehring); and his grandparents, George and Julia (nee' Otten) Hagedorn and Bernard and Evelyn (nee' Plassmeyer) Lause.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 22 years, Krista Lause (nee' Doehring) of Augusta; two children: Ella Lause and Kolten Lause, both of Augusta; two brothers: Ben Lause (Leslie) of Beaufort and J.J. Lause (Jen) of Beaufort; step-mother, Regina Lause (nee' Waterworth) of Ozark; father-in-law, Jim Doehring of O'Fallon; brother-in-law, Mitchell Forck of Lake St. Louis; nieces and nephews: Josie Meyer (Joshua), Brady Lause, Alexa Lause, Jack Lause, Max Lause, Liam Chandler, Adam Chandler, Tanner Forck (Bailey), Owen Forck, and Hailey Forck; along with aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives, and many dear friends.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 AM on Friday, October 24, 2025 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Union, MO with Rev. Peter Blake officiating. Interment will be held privately in the church cemetery.
Visitation for 54-year-old Devin Lause will be held from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Thursday, October 23, 2025 at Oltmann Funeral Home in Union, MO.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Union Fire Protection District, Augusta Fire Protection District, or Immaculate Conception Church.
