James "Jim" Behnke, 70, of Washington, MO passed away Thursday, October 9, 2025.
He is survived by his wife, Jan Behnke (nee' Brinkmann) of Washington; one daughter, Megan Barlow and husband Chris of Des Peres; his mother, JoAnn Behnke of Kewanee, IL; three grandchildren: Rosemary, Lucy, and Charlotte Barlow; two sisters: Kathy Nibeck of Northbrook, IL and Sue Behnke of San Clemente, CA; two sisters-in-law: Mary Anne Straatmann (Kevin) of Villa Ridge and Carolyn Alfermann (Larry) of Washington; seven brothers-in-law: George Brinkmann (Pam) of Washington, David Brinkmann (Peggy) of Washington, Tom Brinkmann (Tammy) of Washington, Andy Brinkmann (Stephanie) of Manchester, John Brinkmann of Springfield, MO, Bob Brinkmann (Karen) of Washington, and Mark Brinkmann (Kelly) of Washington; along with nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 AM on Tuesday, October 14, 2025 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Washington, MO with Rev. Craig Wehmeyer officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Visitation for 70-year-old Jim Behnke will be held from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Monday, October 13, 2025 at Oltmann Funeral Home in Washington, MO. Visitation will resume at 9:30 AM on Tuesday at the church and will conclude when services begin.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Immanuel Lutheran Church.
