ELDON RUTLEDGE
PROCTORSVILLE — Eldon Rutledge, 80, of Proctorville, Ohio passed away Tuesday December 9, 2014 in Frankfort, Ohio.
He was born August 20, 1934 in Alger, Ohio son of the late Ora Rutledge and Mae McCann.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers Walter and Richard Rutledge; three sisters and brothers-in-law Wanda (John) Newfer, Dorothy (Herbert) Rudd and Ardonna (Gaylord) Clark.
He served in the U.S. Army and was an instructor in the Signal School at Fort Gordon, Georgia. He retired from Erie Railroad and State Electric Supply.
He is survived by his wife Barbara Rutledge; two children Walter (Gayle) Rutledge and Connie (Victor) Riquelme; four grandchildren Jessica Bright, Amy Ruby, Kellie Wheeler, and Andrew Riquelme; four great grandchildren Noah Payne, Savanah Wheeler, Jacob Wheeler, and Justin Wheeler.
He attended New Hope United Methodist Church.
Funeral service will be conducted 11 a.m. Saturday December 13, 2014 at Hall Funeral Home and Crematory, Proctorville, Ohio by Rev. Greg Inboden.
Visitation will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday, December 13, 2014 at the funeral home. American Legion Post #93 Kenova, WV will conduct military rites.
A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Monday December 15, 2014 at Salem Westminster Cemetery, Westminster, Ohio by Pastor Mark Bayliff.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions to be made to The American Cancer Society, 1336 Hal Greer Blvd, Huntington, WV 25701 or Heartland Hospice of Lucasville, 205 North Street, Lucasville, Ohio, 45648.
