ERMA MORMAN
KALIDA — Erma O. Wehri Morman, 95, of Kalida went home to be with our Lord at 5:45 a.m., Saturday, December 24, 2016 at her residence surrounded by her family.
She was born September 2, 1921 in Ottoville to the late Leo A. and Frances (Becker) Miller. On June 5, 1947, she married Henry Wehri, and he died May 10, 1966. Then on May 28, 1982 she married Norbert Morman, and he died December 30, 1992.
Survivors include nine children: Kenneth (Terri) Wehri and Janet (Dewey) Heckman both of Kalida, Kathy (Jerry) Ruhe of Glandorf, Leroy (Mary Jane) Wehri of Cloverdale, Rick Wehri of Sandpoint, ID, Rose (Roger) Riepenhoff of Ottawa, Teresa Van Oss of Kalida, Mary Arnzen of Portsmouth and Tony (Amy) Wehri of Delphos; a step-daughter, Judy (Bud) Wieging of Fort Jennings; 23 grandchildren; 4 step-grandchildren; 49 great-grandchildren; one step great-great grandchild; a sister, Betty Hermiller of Columbus Grove; two brothers: Don (Monica) Miller and Rich (Betty) Miller both of Ottoville; and a sister-in-law, Babe Miller of Ottoville.
She was also preceded in death by siblings and in-laws: Wilma (Amos) Miller, Maggie (Ernie) Schimmoeller, Eugene Miller, Berta Schimmoeller Cramer, Rog Schimmoeller, Lauren Cramer and Frank Hermiller.
Erma worked from 1970-1982 as Head Cook at Kalida Local Schools. She was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church, Kalida and its Altar Rosary Society. She was a people person and a hugger, a true servant, always doing for others. Erma was a very strong and independent woman. She loved spending time with her kids, grandkids and great-grandkids and was very proud of having over 100 people in her family. She loved playing cards, puzzles, word searches, crocheting, traveling and praying the rosary.
A Mass of Christian burial will begin at 10;30 a.m., Thursday, December 29, 2016 at St. Michael's Catholic Church, Kalida with Fr. Mark Hoying officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be from 2-8 p.m., Wednesday at LOVE-HEITMEYER FUNERAL HOME, Jackson Twp. with a rosary at 7:00 p.m.
Memorial donations may be given to EWTN, Right to Life or Putnam County Hospice.
