EVA RICHARDS
LIMA — Eva L. Richards, 84, of Lima died at 1:30 P.M., Thursday, April 27, 2017 at her home surrounded by her loving family.
She was born March 14, 1933, in Paintsville KY, to Thomas & Stella (Sadler) Music, who preceded her in death. On June 12, 1955, she married Warren Richards, who preceded her in death on June 8, 2011.
Survivors include two daughters, Janeice Richards of Lima, and Judith (Todd) Arthur of Hamilton, OH., and one son, Bruce (Emily) Richards of Westerville, OH.; three granddaughters, Jaime Clevenger, Julie (Michael) Ratzlaff, Claire Richards, and five grandsons, Joel (Stacie) Loughrin, John Loughrin, Cory Richards, David Richards, and Jack Richards, six great-grandchildren, Elizabeth Clevenger, Anna Ratzlaff, Allyson Ratzlaff, Gunnar Loughrin, Jana Loughrin, and Iris Loughrin; nine siblings, Ernest Music, Mary Francis (Toby) Long, Juanita (Paul) Ely.
Preceded in death, Estill Music, Charles Music, Ernestine Music, Eugene Music, Rusha Mae Noel, and Nancy Music.
She moved to Lima at the age of 18. Her first job in Lima was at the DWG Cigar Factory where she met her future husband. She retired from JC Penney in 1991 to pursue her volunteer efforts. She and her husband were one of the founding members of Grace Baptist Church. They were also involved in North Park Community Church. Her other volunteer activities included Children Choosing Christ, WTGN, and Prayer team for Teens for Christ. Her civic pursuits included AARP tax volunteer and working the elections. In her younger years she was very involved with her children's activities.
Services will begin at 1 PM on Monday, May 1, 2017 at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home. Pastor Jim Baker will officiate. Family will receive friends 11 AM to 1 PM before the time of the service. Entombment will be at the Memorial Park Cemetery Mausoleum.
Memorial contributions may be made to WTGN Radio Station, or WTLW TV Station.

I was encouraged so many time through the years by Warren and Eva here at WTGN. I appreciated their personal support to me and their love for the ministry. One thing about Eva, she wasn't shy about sharing her opinion. I know she is home with the Lord. There is great comfort in that.
