Gary Griffith Obituary

LIMA -- Gary L. "Griff" Griffith, age 81 of Lima, passed away Sunday, July 20, 2025, at 4:47 p.m., at the Springs of Lima.

He was born January 9, 1944, in Columbus Grove, to Morgan J. and Emma Stella (Allstaetter) Griffith who preceded him in death. On January 13, 1990, he married Sharon Griffith who preceded him in death on May 29, 2024.

Survivors include: stepson, Wayne Rader of Lima, OH, friend, Marlene (Dave) Gilman of Lima; his devoted extended family: Laura, Kassady, Kameron and Kenzie Belau, Emily, Thomas, Molly (dec'd), Xavier and Haley Mann.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Donald Griffith.

Griff graduated from Columbus Grove High School in 1963. He retired from Phillips as a warehouse worker. He was a diehard Columbus Grove Bulldog fan and enjoyed sports of all sorts, watching television and reading the newspapers to learn as much as he could about the games.

Services will begin at 3:30 p.m., Thursday, at Memorial Park Cemetery on Thursday, July 24, 2025. Burial will follow the service. His visitation will be Thursday, from 2:00 - 3:00 p.m. at the Shawnee Chapel of Chiles-Laman Funeral & Cremation Services.
