Gary Thompson Lima - Gary L. Thompson, 63, of Lima died at 8:56 p.m. October 11, 2015 at the James Cancer Center, Columbus. Gary was born June 26, 1952 in Lima to the late Willard R. and Glenna Binkley Thompson. On June 26, 1971 he married Brenda Mayer Thompson who survives. Gary was a truck driver and drove for Sidney Trucking, Top Line Freight and ABF Freight. He loved Harley Davidson motorcycles, the Cleveland Browns and The Ohio State University Buckeyes, but most of all he loved his grandchildren. Also surviving are two children, Tracy (Jack) Ward of Fredericksburg, VA, Zachary Thompson of Lima, three grandchildren, Cory Griffith, Gabriel Ward, Kloey Thompson, a sister, Darlene (Larry) Jolliff of Lima a brother, William Thompson and Jimmy Miller of Grove City, and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will begin at 2 p.m. Thursday, October 15, 2015 at Chiles-Laman Funeral and Cremation Services, Bluffton. Rev. Bro. Bill Reeder will officiate. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, Bluffton. Visitation will be two hours prior to the service at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the family.
