COLUMBUS GROVE — Grace Burkhart, age 86, passed away November 12, 2021, at 7:57 pm, at her residence.
Grace was born June 11, 1935, in Allen Co., OH, to Vernon L. and Odessa L. (Basinger) Augsburger who preceded her in death.
On April 4, 1958, she married John David "JD" Burkhart who preceded her in death on December 29, 2017.
Grace was a 1953 graduate of Cory Rawson High School. She then attended the Bluffton Hospital Nursing Program and became an LPN. From then on she had worked as an LPN with Bluffton Hospital for 32 years retiring 1989.
Grace was a member of the Pandora United Methodist Church.
Grace is survived by her children: Linda Burkhart of Columbus Grove, OH, David (Donna) Burkhart of Lima, OH and Richard Burkhart of Celina, OH, 3 grandchildren: TJ (Tinna) Burkhart, Amanda (Kyle) Fordyce and Casie (Jordan) Heppard, 9 great grandchildren, 2 sisters: Janice Augsburger of Pandora, OH and Margaret Miller of Bowling Green, OH and a sister in-law, Marilyn Augsburger of Columbus Grove, OH.
She was preceded in death by her daughter in-law, Marilyn "Mert" Burkhart, 4 siblings: James Augsburger, Robert (Laura) Augsburger, Edith (Waldo) Rayle and Marilyn Augsburger and a brother in-law, Marvin Miller and a sister in-law, Eleanor (Charles) Risser.
Following Grace's wishes there will be a graveside and burial of cremated remains held at a later date.
Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
