LIMA — Deacon Grady Clemons, age 77, passed from this life on Sunday, June 20, 2021 at approximately 3:30 p.m. at St. Rita's Medical Center.
He was born on November 4, 1943 in Florence Alabama to the union of George and Waymon (Boddie) Clemons; both parents preceded him in death.
He was united in holy matrimony to Ruthie Nell Love, she survives in Lima.
Mr. Clemons retired from Marathon Electric. He was a faithful member of the Eleventh Street Missionary Baptist Church where he served as a member of the Deacon Board, president of the Ruth Ingram Missionary Group, Sunday school teacher, NWOA and the Northwestern District Layman Association.
Besides his loving wife Ruthie, he leaves to cherish his precious memory 3 sons; Arron J. Clemons (Tina Garner) of Chillicothe, OH. Stevon Clemons and Marcus Clemons both of Lima. A daughter; Yolanda Clemons of Clayton, OH. 6 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. A brother; Sandros Boddie of Dayton, OH. 2 sisters; Amy Secession (John) and Georgia Young (Tyrone Brock) both of Lima. A host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by 2 brothers; George Clemons and James Thompson. 4 sisters; Emma Hairston, Mary L. Clemons, Elizabeth Boddie and Susie Boddie.
Services will be held on Monday, June 28, 2021 at 12:00 p.m. at Eleventh Street Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. James Bolling, officiating.
Visitation/Wake services will be held on Monday, June 28, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. until time of services also at the Church.
Interment - Memorial Park Cemetery

I remember Grady from school days. I remember him as being a VERY NICE person and a very "spiffy" dresser.
