LIMA -- Anna "Ileene" Plummer, age 88, passed away on March 21, 2025, at 2:09 am, at Mercy Health - St. Rita's Medical Center. Ileene was born on February 8, 1937, in Mousie, KY, to Zebbie and Geneva (Messer) Conley who preceded her in death. In 1986, she married Herman D. Plummer who preceded her in death on May 20, 2006.
Ileene is survived by her children: Karen (Fred) Wheeler of Lima, OH and Gary Loudenback of Tipton, IN, 5 grandchildren: Christopher (Amanda) Loudenback, Timothy Loudenback, Andrew (Morgan) Loudenback, Jennifer (Justin) Wable and Michael (Jessica) Wheeler, 7 great grandchildren: Natalie, Eli, Nikolas, Ryan, Harper, Allison and Camden, siblings: Clovis (Katherine-d) Conley of Oklahoma City, OK, Avenelle (Elmer-d) Mullins of Mousie, KY, Ancil (Bonnie) Conley of Georgetown, KY and Brenda (Tom) Sprinkle of Huntington, IN and a brother in-law, James Engle of Louisville, KY. She was preceded in death by her son, Robert Loudenback, a sister, Maxine Engle, a brother, Harold (Blanche) Conley and her previous husband, Robert Loudenback.
Ileene was a 1954 graduate of Hindman High School in Hindman, KY. After high school she was a homemaker and was dedicated to raising her family. She had worked for Merle Norman Cosmetics for several years and then the Lazarus Department Store. She eventually worked as a hostess with the Ramada Inn. Ileene was a longtime member of South Side Christian Church. She will be remembered as always being involved in entertaining and socializing with family and friends.
There will be a funeral service held on Saturday, March 29, 2025, at 10:00 am at the Chiles-Laman Funeral and Cremation Services, Shawnee Chapel. Officiating the service will be Rev. Wanda Werking and Rev. Todd Cosart. Entombment will be in the Memorial Park Cemetery Mausoleum following the service.
Friends may visit on Friday, March 28, 2025, from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm at the Shawnee Chapel. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society in memory of her son, Robert C. Loudenback. Condolences may be expressed to the family at www.chiles-lamanfh.com.
